Good morning Tuesday

Postby meriad » 27 Apr 2021, 07:36

Morning everyone - cannot believe I'm the first :o

Another sunny but frosty morning here.... I'm done with the cold night temperatures.
A bit of work to be done this morning, then meeting Nadine for lunch which will be nice (albeit nippy I'm sure - so going to take lots and lots of layers!) then back home for more usual work stuff

Nothing else exciting to report so wishing you all a lovely day xxx

Morning Ria, Cruiser and everyone

Cloudy again and more rain forecast, hence no internet this morning. Clouds breaking up a bit now and we have some - not a lot, but some  - blue sky. Back to two layers

Grump+y is going to wrap up and head down to the veggie plot to remove some of the broad bean plants, dig a couple o trenches and put in the old stems. I'll pick what is left and we can bury everything

Had planned a bbq for tonight, but chicken and mushroom pie instead, I think.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

good morning all.
Chicken and mushroom pie, yum!
It's a grey and cold morning here, looks like we might have rain later.
MrsC has skipped off down the road to the hairdresser.
We will be looking after Eliza this pm whilst her mum is going to get her nails done.
Then I need to take some photos of the kitchen units. We are considering having them resprayed instead of replaced and the firm want some photos so that they can give us an estimate.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Ria enjoy lunch with Nadine, wrap up well.
Keeping busy sounds a good plan Cruiser, how are you doing?
Chicken and mushroom pie sounds yummy Jan.
What colour are you planning for the kitchen cupboards Crommers?

There's a steep step outside our back door, when I was putting some rubbish out last week I went down a bit heavy on my hip. Quite a jolt, it's been a bit sore since, all the usual chores, washing etc hasn't helped. Think the walk yesterday was the final straw, it's now really painful, hasn't been this bad since my op so I'll be resting it as much as possible today. E will do a couple of walks round the close for the next few days, shame the wind's dropped so it would have been nice on the clifftop.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

A light colour Jen. Perhaps light grey or cream.

Afternoon all, not such a nice day here, mostly cloudy and cool and there was even some wet stuff falling from the sky. Edward went out to play golf but is back now. I did bits and pieces this morning, sorting laundry etc. I got a delivery of shorts I had ordered, one pair was fine but the other pair didn’t look so nice so I’ve returned them. I popped up to the post office with that, and also transferred some money for Edward’s dental work tomorrow. We are having Michael and Kellie today instead of Thursday as Edward is having over two hours of dental surgery tomorrow and may not feel great for a couple of days afterwards.

Afternoon all, it’s grey and cooler here today. Rain is forecast for later so I’m hoping that the washing dries before then.

Still, rain might dampen down the pollen a bit. Apart from going to get my jab on Sunday I’ve not been out since Saturday evening, my hayfever’s been awful. I can usually control the sneezing very well with Beconase but it’s had no effect recently but it’s hardly surprising - I went out to the bin one day last week and it was covered in pollen, looked at the cars and they were too and people on Facebook 10 miles away were reporting the same.

We fitted an outside light by the front door this morning. The old one had seen better days so I’d been on the look out for a nice lantern type which was traditionalish but not like what almost everyone else has.

Anyway, we’re off to walk Bill now.

Have a good day all :D

Good afternoon, also cloudy here; cool but not unpleasant. We could desperately do with some rain though, I've started watering some of the garden shrubs that have begun turning brown and losing leaves. The drought hasn't affected the National Flower of Dorset, however - the dandelion  - and we've got them all over the lawn!

Chinese takeaway for tea tonight, but not from the local Chinese outlet, we've treated ourselves to a "Meal for 2 for £10" Chinese Takeaway Bag from Waitrose. We've had their Thai and Indian offerings previously, and they're not bad value, sweet and sour chicken, chicken chow mien, beef and black bean, egg fried rice and 6 spring rolls.

Afternoon everyone :)

Brrr, it's chilly here today, and grey! Walked into town, for a few bits and pieces, then had lunch up at D's. Becky did an early shift, popped home but has just gone out again to get her hair done. I'm just about to make a pasta sauce for later. Well, pasta for M and B, I'll have mine on a jacket spud 8-) I did Zumba last night, so won't be doing it again tonight - maybe tomorrow. She's out another song in, and the classes last over 50 minutes now, so you know you've had a work out

Love to all xxx
