Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 18 Apr 2021, 05:23

Good morning.

Toasty warm and sunny. 8-)

Off for a quick run.

Conor stayed over last night and is taking us out for lunch. I think he thinks we need feeding up.

He'll head home around 7 so Don and I will settle in for the evening and watch the last 3 episodes of Breaking Bad. It has been the best thing I've ever watched and I'm gutted it's almost finished!

Have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny and getting warmer by the minute 8-)

Grumpy is off spraying the paths with the witch's brew, then he's going to be pool boy. Chris is very kindly coming up to help pull the cover over the pool, its too heavy for me, at the moment.

I'm heading off down to the veggie plot to pick a load of broad beans and peas, they'll be straight in the freezer, then I intend to do some very gentle bending over and weed. The drive looks as if we've abandoned the place and after all my hard work, I'm gutted, so some gentle weeding.

Cooked breakfast and a roast pork dinner will sort us out today

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning both, and everyone else too :)

Ally I've never watched as I wasn't sure it would be my thing, but maybe I should, just to see 8-) xx

Jan, enjoy watching the pool boy at work ;) :D xx

It's sunny here, and a bit warmer :) Currently sitting outside Corretto's enjoying a bit of socially distanced normal ;) :D D needs some new garden chairs, so we're off to the Range in a while to pick them up for her. Also a bag of bark chippings, as she wants to put them on her strawberries. Mick asked wouldn't cream taste better - funny man! :P  :cute: Nothing special planned for dinner, I need to run my freezer down a bit, so will find some chops or something.

Take care everyone :) xxx

Don't know why you've directed mentioning getting up early to me Cruiser. I've never questioned your nocturnal hours.

Good morning all.
A really lovely morning here, sunny and warmer than of late.
I've been for a paper and our daughter and Eliza are coming for dinner. We'll plate some up for son in law to have later when he gets home from work.
Enjoy Breaking Bad Ally! Jan, couldn't you spray the weeds? Kaz, bark chippings! That gave me a laugh. I need to get to Aldi too Cruiser, they sell Graham's yoghurt which I like. Yes, steady away with the training for your marathon Saundra, don't go pulling a hamstring as well! ;)
Have a great day all.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Not sure if we'll get out for a walk, depends how my ankle feels after doing my usual Sunday chores. Too much standing in one spot doesn't do it any good at all. Roast chicken for dinner later, chocolate blancmange with orange jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, not such a nice day here, cloudy and chilly. We started doing some work on our terrace this morning, cleaning, and Edward started painting the wall which is very grubby, so hopefully the paint will freshen it up. It will need at least one more coat. I cleaned our terracotta sun which now looks a lot better. SIL called over to borrow our extension lead, he has been doing some hedge cutting and tree trimming as the previous owner had really let it go fairly wild. He said they had a quote of over €1,000 to get the work done, so he is doing it himself, fair play to him. Yesterday he climbed a tree as a now-dead climbing plant had worked its way right up to the top. I had actually pulled out all I could reach a few weeks ago, but he got it all off and now the tree can breathe. Now just relaxing and catching up on some recorded stuff.

It's been a truly gorgeous few days here....I sat outside at a cafe on Friday, cardi-less!! 8-) :D :D Granted, it was in direct sunlight and no breeze but my goodnessdid it feel good! Yesterday I was in the garden ages, even got the cushions out for the rattan furniture - you watch it will go cold again now!!

So we have spent the weekend apart.....not sure if I mentioned Tip (our elderly greyhound) seems not to be improving health wise and we had planned to leave him with Amy (!!) while we went to the caravan, first time this year. However I don't really trust her to look after him in the manner Tom expects, plus we'd never forgive ourselves if anything happened when we weren't there, so I engineered that Tom would take Tip to the caravan and enjoy his company as I don't honestly think we'll have him a lot longer....I can easily fill my time and we'll have other weekends there. So, that's what we did - Tom and Tip came back at 9 this morning so we have had a day together but more importantly, they have had a smashing 'lad's' weekend 8-)

It's cooled down a bit now, so I have my cardi back on and have come indoors. We're having last night's Chinese tonight so no cooking required :D In fairness I can manage not to cook much when I'm on my own anyway....scrambled egg, bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes on Friday, and a can of soup last night.....oh and of course a nice cake with my coffee when I went out during the day!! 8-)
