Morning Ally, morning everyone

Foggy

Happy Birthday to Eliza :Hi: :Hi:

Gentle housework this morning, then if it's nice later, we'll pop into Ourique for a beer or two. Might need to drop off the laptop at the computer shop, as it's playing up - or it just could be the weather. We'll see. Means I'll be contactless for a while, so I hate doing it ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning, it’s another bright and frosty one :D

Happy Birthday Eliza! :D

John’s gone into work, I’m assuming that Tom’s off for a picnic with Shannon (I hope that’s what all of the food in the fridge that appeared last night is for anyway, or I’m not going to fit the Tesco order in, it’s taking up the whole of one of the three shelves) and Joe’s in work until lunchtime. He’s got a hair appointment booked for this afternoon and then he’s going to the designer outlet with his friend Zak, he says that he’ll go with me later too which I thought was lovely, although I wasn’t surprised by what he said after that; “you can buy me something” He made me laugh the other day when he came home after I’d had my hair cut...
“Had your hair cut Mom?”
“Yes”
“Did you keep the receipt?”

Hope the laptop’s going to be okay Jan!

Have a good day all :)

Good morning everybody.

The sun is out again but still cool in the wind.

Have had my hair cut. Not my usual barber. He is closed as he has hurt his shoulder. There is only him in the shop. Have been going to hime for many years.
Does a good job and only charges £5.00 for pensioners.
The barbers shop I went to is very modern with prices to match. There are four chairs and they were full when I left. I was the first one in just before 9.00 a.m.
I then took some of mrs.e's stuff to ne of the charity shops and too Tesco for some shopping.
Will mow the lawn this afternoon.
Got a note with the post to say there is a parcel at the sorting office. Most postmen would leave it with a neighbour. So anoter journey to town after lunch.
Have a good day everybody.

Good afternoon all.
Thank you for the birthday wishes for Eliza all! How sweet of you.
We are going up at 4pm, her parents are having a little party for her. We have to work out how to get a large plastic sandpit into a small car but I'm sure we'll manage it somehow.
Before then we need to get some cash out of the atm, some eggs and a paper.
Sunny here but still that sneaky cold wind.
Have a lovely day all.

Morning :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Happy Birthday Eliza.
Hope you can get the laptop fixed Jan.
Lucky you having a haircut Jo.

Washing day for me and expecting Boots to deliver the meds sometime this afternoon. Also supposed to be having the hospital bed picked up. I rang yesterday and was told it would be happening and I should expect a text either last night or early this morning with an ETA. Well I've heard nothing and have been trying to get through to the depot for the last 40mins. Obviously we can't go out for a walk until we know what's happening. I'll be hopping mad if they don't turn up today.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, another nice day here but there is a cool wind when the sun goes in. I had my regular Friday walk with my two friends, we had a laugh and set the world to rights. It got quite chilly towards the end. No plan for the rest of the day. Happy Birthday Eliza! Lucky Jo and Cruiser getting their hair cut, mine is getting harder to style now there is so much of it. Edward has made an appointment with me to get his trimmed tomorrow

Osc and Jen, I bumped into our neighbour Sharon yesterday while out with Billy at lunchtime and the first thing she said, very excitedly, was “I’m getting my hair cut this afternoon!!” It’s such a big thing at the moment isn’t it. Osc, I can sympathise because mine’s thick and grows very quickly and I’d just about given up on doing anything with it.

The silly thing was that the hair salon was the public place where I’ve felt safest, they’ve taken every precaution possible. There’s hand sanitiser on arrival which is operated by a foot pedal so that you don’t have to touch the plunger, lidded boxes for bags and coats, screens between each chair, gowns are washed after use, there’s time between clients to give them time to clean before the next one arrives (which over the course of a day must be costing them money)...yet they’ve had to close for so long.

I do feel for them, Jade who owns the one I go to is amazing, she’s got so much drive and enthusiasm but this last year has been so difficult for her. I remember her starting as an apprentice and she’s the sister of a good friend of Joe’s (they go way back to nursery do Joe and Riley) and it’s been wonderful to see her do so well over the years.
