We've already been without a main oven for a week, now I've only gone and dropped the glass turntable for the microwave!!!!!! It shattered into a zillion pieces........ I was cleaning it over the sink, turned to get the tea towel and my fingers just 'went'

What a job - I've had to sweep, then hoover, then go over the floor with those floor wipes to get up any tiny shards the hoover might have missed

We're going to Sainsbury's or Tesco after dinner, to buy a new one - before we starve to death

but it does happen easily - they are quite heavy and unless you've got a good grip it's quick for them to slip from your fingers. Good luck with buying a new one. I've got a convection one and use it loads as I'm on my own and it saves me using the oven when I want to 'cook' something
