Good morning Easter Sunday

Hi everyone! Happy Easter!!!

We have been to Seaham today to meet up with my brother and his wife to go for a seaside walk It was fab to see them both, last time we met to walk together was just after Christmas - lovely to catch up with them both! We had amazing weather too - unbroken sunshine and 16C!!v I almost didn't bother with a coat, but I had it round my waist - the North Sea is unpredictable temperature wise!!

Quiet pm since we got back, we're not doing Sunday roast....maybe sausages and mash, or a quiche later on. I'm still full off HX buns so far!!

Great for D to get out a bit Kaz - bet you're having a lovely time together x

Thanks all, yes D said it was lovely to get out again I gave her a guided tour of the new ensuite, as she hadn't been here since we did it We've had a very nice time, but she's just gone home now. I think a few hours felt enough for her, for the first outing

We're very lucky living where we do, we are slap bang in the middle so can be at the coast or the countryside within about 40 minutes, max. Yesterday we went to a gorgeous little place along the banks of the River Wear, called Witton-le-Wear, around a 30 minute drive from home. Tom had spotted, whilst driving with work, a few cars parked up near a little bridge in the week next to a Public Footpath sign, and figured it must be worth exploring. It was!! Just gorgeous, we did about 5 miles, so not TOO far, just enough to 'earn' a coffee at the end

Yes I imagine it might feel a little overwhelming for D, first time out xx

Evening all, it’s been a lovely day here.

I’ve got two Easter Eggs to work through, a Crunchie and an Orange Smarties. I’ve always loved orange Smarties

We’re off out on another walk with Bill shortly, we might see his new friend again. He’s an 8 month old Border Collie who we’ve seen in passing a few times and our 9 year old Bill does very well indeed at keeping up with him at high speed. We walked for around 10 minutes with his owner last night and the dogs ran together all that time, Bill was quite disappointed when we came to go in a different direction

A little bit of a boozy afternoon

Chris and Lucy came up, as planned, I gave them a samosa, as I know they both love Indian food.

Then Jan rang and we went down to Chris and Lucy's place, Jan's hubby was there and the dogs (Max and Archie) had brilliant time running around. More booze

Planning a bit of a party for June. Lucy's birthday is on the same day as one of our wedding anniversaries, so we'll sort that out.

Cooler now, so we'll eat inside. Sadly not the pork loin, that will take too long, so a pie from the freezer.
