Good morning.

Gorgeous again. 8-)

Off for a quick run then back to shower etc and we're going over to Jacob's for a spot of lunch. :D

I have my two private classes 4.30 - 6.30 then meeting Don for Friday beers and tapas. That'll be me finished until April 6. :P :P

I think there's two Masterchef's on tonight so I'll have to watch them on iplayer over the weekend.

Have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Grey sky this morning  Like a high fog  Sun supposed to come out, so we'll see if we have another warm day 8-) Grumpy hand washed (in the shower  ) our bedspread and then put it on the gravel to drain. Needs to dry completely, so that can be put on the line later.

Houseworkery stuff for us again this morning. I'll do the wafting around and he'll do the floors.

Gez coming up sometime this morning, for tea and gossip amd I'll have to ring Sergio to find out when he's coming up.

New recipe tonight, that I didn't get around to yesterday and lots of lovely books to choose from :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning. Awful weather here, it's just bucketed with rain , and it's miserable and cold. A steaming pot of hot coffee awaits.

Just phoned up and tried to pay the balance of our bill for the new blinds across the back windows of the house, but the fitting company are all behind with their paperwork (accounts staff on furlough), so I was told to disappear and await events. Still, at least I'm on the side of the righteous for once!

Morning all, it’s starting to brighten up again now.

I had a lovely walk with Bill in the sunshine first thing, I could feel a few spots of rain in the air as we got closer to home and five minutes after we’d got in it started pouring down and carried on for the next couple of hours.

The Tesco delivery has been and is all away and now I’m waiting for Amazon to bring our new barbecue. We’re next apparently.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :D

Nice and bright but a tad windy.

A similar thing happened to us some years ago Ossie. We ordered a new washing machine from a local company, payment on delivery. The chap delivering didn't have a clue so I rang the shop to pay and was told they were too busy to deal with it and would contact me when convenient to them. They were a bit offhand so I just thought okay it's down to you. They finally rang a year later, around the end of the financial year time, madness.

Nothing special going on here, just the usual wash day. We'll be having a little walk round the close before lunch.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Good afternoon.
Similar weather here, rain earlier but sunny now.
We've been to do the weekend shop. This afternoon I'll do a bolognese for the freezer and bake a loaf.
Jan, we asked a man to do us a side gate in iron. He came round, we agreed a price and shook hands - never seen him since!
I hope you get the Kindle fixed Saundra. Love your optimism Jo! :D Get the barbie on! Enjoy the books Jan and Masterchef Ally.
Hopefully our son is turning up this weekend to powerwash the back flags for us.
Have a good day all.

Hello all

was meant to say good morning much earlier today but somehow the day just ran away with me.....
Ally, I'm also off as of today but a few days more than you - all of next week and the week after. Although because of the way my job works out with working from home etc I cannot really hand over to anyway so will be on standby for anything anyway. Only thing is that I won't be by the computer all the time and only checking emails 3 maybe 4x a day. But happy to do that - I've had very comfy working from home hours so far so it's give and take ;-) And I'll have the time I want and need to get to the allotment, work in the garden and greenhouse etc.... can't wait :Hi:

Jo, what BBQ did you eventually decide on? I did have a quiet giggle to myself when I read your post the other day because you've done exactly the opposite to me :D . I always had a gas BBQ and loved that they were so quick etc but they're so big for just one person and the gas bottle made it difficult to move around so last year I sold it and bought a smaller regular charcoal Weber. It may not get used as much for just me admittedly but it just works out better.

A bit of a sad morning - had two missed calls from my mom so called her back. Poor thing was totally upset and it just broke my heart that I couldn't be there in person. Mom comes from a family of five siblings; 2019 she lost her twin sister and only brother very close to each other, her brother November and her twin in December. A few weeks ago she found out that her eldest sister (now 90) had a fall and had a broken pelvis and the other sister (87) had been diagnosed with breast cancer and was having a mastectomy. Unfortunately the sister with the broken pelvis had additional complications that required surgery and she was just too weak and didn't make it - she passed away last night. Just so hard for mom - all I want to do is be there and give her a hug and I can't. Not even sure when I can fly over to see her :( I was hoping to get there for her birthday in May but don't think that'll happen either

I'm off to Karl and Nadine later today - it's Karl's birthday today so having dinner and somewhat subdued celebrations with them.

Hope everyone has a good rest of day - as always; stay safe x

Oh Ria, that is so sad....sending much love to you all xx

Al, I really don’t blame you. How is your Dad?

Ria, we went with this one in the end. Glad I ordered it when I did as it was £100 less than the recommended price and is now out of stock through Amazon.

Now there’s often six of us with Shannon and Amanda so we did need a decent sized one, our old one wasn’t anywhere near big enough.

Crommers, it’s 2020’s fence paint jinx all over again  Me and Joe rushed over to Screwfix in Stafford one afternoon when I saw the colour we needed was finally in stock after being unavailable everywhere for weeks of sunny weather. Next day the weather broke and we had weeks of rain
