Afternoon everyone :)

It's another bitterly cold day! Like yesterday we've had a few snowflakes but nothing is settling. Mick is cracking on, the tiles are nearly all up :D Becky took in a RM parcel, but It's not for us. it was on the doorstep by the time B got downstairs from the shower. Right address wrong name :? Sinclair :? I don't think any of the neighbours have that name :? It's tracked, so I guess when Mr Sinclair tracks his parcel he'll see the address was wrong and come to collect it :?: I'm certainly not lugging it a mile up the road to the PO, it's very heavy!

Ally, I love risotto! :D xxx

Saundra, a stew sounds ideal today 8-) xxx

Very sensible Jan, stay dry xxx

Best wishes to Mrs e Cruiser xxx

I hope your FiL is ok Crommers xxx

Hope you enjoyed your walk Osc :) xxx

Ria, I miss that too, with my friend Emma xxx

I'm glad T is no worse Gal, and that you're ok! xxx

Stay warm everyone :) xxx

It is frustrating isn't it Saundra. I was really hoping to be able to go to Germany in May to see my mom and be with her for her birthday. But I really don't think it'll happen :(

Afternoon all, thought I'd already posted, blonde moment, far better than saying a senior moment

We had bright sunshine first thing and just a few flakes of snow wafting in the wind.

Hope Jo's okay.

We'd just sat down with a cup of coffee after a late lunch and the phone went. It was our surgery to say they had a few spare jabs and wondered if E wanted one. By then the snow had started to come down quite heavily so off we went and hoped that the very steep slope in their car park was cleared. Not just because of the car, but there's a reasonably long pathway to actually get into the surgery and of course I was worried about him slipping with his crutches in the snow. All very efficient, but we came out to a blizzard and by the time we got home all the car tracks and footsteps on our driveway were covered. Sod's law it stopped once we were inside and dry again  So pleased he's been done now :D :D

Hello all, thanks for thinking of me xx

Woke up and actually felt well this morning, apart from a big painful red mark, about 5cm across, on my arm where the needle went in. Joe’s got the same so it’s obviously not anything to worry about.
The house has been cleaned from top to bottom, the ironing’s been done, Bill’s had two long walks in the snow (my Fitbit currently says 8.22 miles), the Tesco delivery has been, I’ve been to the Co Op for the butter and eggs I’d forgotten to order and I’m now about to roast the chicken which we were supposed to be having for last Sunday lunch

It’s such a shame about holidays, we’d not bothered to book anything but were hoping to get a train up to Edinburgh and Glasgow at some point this year. Joe and Amanda have got a holiday in Paris booked for late July and of course they’ve got their Leeds Festival tickets carried over from last August. The only thing I’ve got planned is Green Day in June, again carried over from last year, and although it’s not been cancelled yet there’s surely no way it can go ahead.
