I understand where you're coming from Jo, it isn't always easy living with an adult offspring. I've had a few rows with B over untidiness and downright mess- the bathroom she uses being a particular bone of contention. But bottom line is it's mine and Mick's house, she's welcome here for as long as she wants or needs to be here, but she has to respect us and treat the house with respect. Would T act this way if he was house-sharing with others? ;) Good luck! xxx

I have had THE laziest day. Slow walk with Millie this morning, dishwasher emptied and then I’ve just sat on my bum crocheting and watching tv.

Bliss.

Hi everyone :)

I've spent this morning bottoming the conservatory, ladders out, cleaning the roof panels and the windows, they were so dirty!! :o Donna dropped the Tom's ABs off this pm and also had taken the kids via McDonalds and got us some treats, which was kind of her, a hot drink each, some fries and a McFlurry each 8-) . She did our temperatures with her 'nerf gun' LOL and we're both ok. I've sat in bed all afternoon watching All4, quite a different Friday but the weather is very wet and neither of us can go out anyway until we get a result from T's covid test :?

Thanks everyone for the vibes, he said the test wasn't pleasant, and if D hadn't done the lateral flow one he doesn't think he'd have known quite how high to put the swab in - you have to do your own test and he said he thinks many people mightn't have thought to do that which would give a possible false negative result  Also the same swab used for the back of the throat. Should get results within 48 hours.

Have a good evening xx

Certainly the test can be uncomfortable. I opted for an assisted one, at our drive-thru centre, as I was sure I would chicken out of getting the swab far enough up my nose - I have a deviated septum and it was pretty painful :? Good luck to Tom, and I hope you get the result back soon (((x)))

Oh dear. Hope he’s okay with it.

Just treat it as two weeks of relaxation.
