Lockdown Highlight of the Week ...

Postby TheOstrich » 02 Feb 2021, 13:29

... putting the rubbish bins away after the dustmen have been round!

It's about the only time we get out of the house.

What's yours? :D

You have bins that put themselves out but need you to put them back: that's appalling.

I go for an extended drive on one of my two evening trips to the supermarket to keep the car battery topped up. Much needed in this cold spell.

I don’t want to brag but I’ve been to the Post Office AND the Co Op this morning.

I was just saying on the daily thread that seeing as our GPS aren’t doing too brilliantly with booking the jabs I might book myself into Millenium Point and have a ride out into Birmingham. Haven’t been since Nov 2019 - used to go weekly

Oh the supermarket delivery on a Thursday - the excitement of waiting to see what time it will arrive within the two hour window!

Going out in the car, once a week, to Ourique. We take the rubbish and recycling down then, normally. Sometimes I'm naughty and go out on my own on a Sunday

But off to Aljustrel tomorrow and Thursday, as well as Ourique.

Really pushing the boat out this week 8-)

I walk to get the DM evry morning unless it is raining hard.

Then go in the car to Tesco and the market for food shopping.
Went by taxi with mrs.e this afternoon to local health center. She had an xray which her doctor had requested.
Only out of the house 30 minutes. Only spoke to the driver and the lady who operated the x-ray machine.
Batteries will run flat if theydo not have a long charge.
Also the wheels shoulkd be turned regularly so that the side walls don't start to perish with the weight of the car on one section.

You need one of these cruiser.

Whilst normal trickle chargers can't be left as they kill the battery eventually by overcharging, this one has a charge controller in it. The charge controller knows how to charge and condition car batteries and protects from overcharging.
