Afternoon all :D

Dull, miserable with on/off rain

Kaz Happy Birthday to Harry.
Great to hear E's doing so well Osc.

Excitement this morning, I got a letter from the NHS telling me I can book an appointment for my covid vaccine. It lasted all of a few minutes though, when I got through to the page asking me to pick a location guess what came up first, a chemist in Swindon Wilts  It's listed as 20 miles away, err no it's over 150 miles away!! For a second I wondered if I'd had a senior moment and entered the wrong postcode, but no, so tried again and it still comes up as my nearest option. 2nd on the list is Folkstone, obviously not as far away as Swindon, but still a fair journey from here. After that the majority listed were approx an hour and half away. The rest are in London. Goodness knows how they think the majority of older people can travel that far!! I was expecting Canterbury, but certainly nowhere much further afield than than that. Apparently I can wait for my local GP, goodness knows when that will happen, I know they're struggling to get enough supplies.

Nothing much happening today, expecting a Sainsbury's delivery later.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Yes, my "baby" is 21, how did that happen? :? :D  I've spoken to him this morning, obviously there isn't much he can get up to at the moment, but he's got chocolate birthday cake, a nice meal tonight and playing games on his PlayStation with his mates later :) :) Thanks very much for the birthday wishes for him. Coincidentally, it's also my cousin's son's 21at as well, they were born in the same hospital as well. Even more of a (spooky) coincidence, without each other knowing, I named my boy Harry, she called hers Harvey, and we didn't realise until Aunty Rose pointed it out later that that was our mutual Grandfather's name - Harry Harvey   xxx

Usual sort of weekday here, up early as B needed a lift to work, I prepped brekkie while Mick was doing that. I ran the Hoover round, put a wash on, then walked up to see D. Nothing special for dinner, Mick's having salmon and rice, Becky and I might finish the leftover spaggie bol from yesterday, as I made far too much!

Hope the Zoom classes go well Ally, and best wishes to Ana :) xx

Enjoy your pootle Cruiser xxx

Ria I'd gladly join you in the sunshine :D ;) xxx

Thanks for the hug Jo :) Hope It's not too bonkers there today :cute: ;) xxx

Blue sky sounds good Saundra, and watching those planes 8-) :) xxx

Laparoscopy procedures take so much less getting over Osc, I've had a few myself and the difference is amazing! I hope E continues to make a rapid recovery :) I would definitely believe the mess that spill made - I was "helping" D defrost her freezer the other week, picked up a bag of frozen chopped onions, but didn't realise it was already opened and the contents went everywhere! She has a big kitchen floor but it was completely covered :?  Took me ages to find every bit as some had gone under and between stuff  xx

Oh Jen, that's just ridiculous! :( I do hope you get a local appointment soon, it's really not good enough :( xxx

Take care everyone xxx

Harry is 21?!

Happy Birthday young man.

Kaz, I remember you posting a pic of him in football kit as a tousle haired little lad with not an ounce on him. It must have been 12 - 15 years ago! How time flies! :o

I rang 119 the number given, spoke to a lady who was just as amazed as me. Anyway she checked the system and got the same result. She said to give my GP a ring to make sure they're still doing it, apparently some have dropped out due to supply problems. Glad I did they've been swamped with calls saying much the same. The good news is she's booked me in for this Friday at 11.10am. Back to feeling excited, in spite of my needle horror
