I entirely agree Rodo. I have worked all my life and saved to have a bit extra. I have managed to help my son out following his acrimonious divorce, but what would grieve me most is my house going down the pan should one of us develop an illness needing care.

I often wonder how people see social justice. To me, it seems, there are two camps for those who believe in it and then the third camp which simply doesn't believe in it at all. Of the two, I see them as:

Those who believe that people who have must Pay for those who don't have

Those who believe that people who have must Contribute towards Helping those who Need

I know which camp I'm in.

Of course if Camp 1 is in power, then you must become a "don't have" before the "do have's" have to pay for you. If camp 2 are in power then it is a contribution to those who need, not just those who don't have.

It is a subtle difference with a massive impact and most people in the country don't get it.
