Afternoon all, it’s a glorious winter day here, very cold but blue skies and sunshine. We went for a lovely long walk, just two hours, really enjoyed it. Everything was frozen pretty hard. I decided that the walk has earned me a pass on the ironing ;) So reading and knitting for the rest of the day :D

I decided to leave the heating on overnight as we had temps of -7 forecast. I turned the thermostat down to 18 degrees and it didn't click off at all until around 7am!

It's a gorgeous winter day though, blue skies and sunshine and of course a lot of frost and snow from yesterdays' deluge. I went for a walk and took some pics, they're on FB but in case anyone would like to see them I'll put them on our VV page too - the stream was in full flow but walking was a bit hard in places as lots had walked there yesterday and then that had frozen hard! I took my Nordic poles and did a Nordic walk - not used them in AGES but I remembered the technique - my NW teacher would have been proud! 8-)

Changed the bedlinen after a salted caramel hot chocolate.....and hoovered and dusted upstairs.

Chinese later and then Tom's going to watch a live footie match on BBC so I'll get into the third (and maybe 4th) ep of Little Fires Everywhere :D 8-)

Kaz I'd be like you of I did WW.....very naughty this week, lots of slipups and sweets....

Afternoon all, it’s gone dull here after a sunny start although it was misty in places as we drove to Hednesford Hills with Bill for a walk. We’d do our usual walk on the common and in the woods behind the close but it’s bad enough with weekend dog walkers in normal times (hence why we always head to the Hills on weekends) but as one of our neighbours said over the New Year weekend ‘it’s like a trout farm over there’.

No plans otherwise, I think John and Joe are going for a run shortly. They need to be careful though as there’s still a fair bit of snow and ice on the pavements.

We’re having chilli for tea.

Enjoy the rest of the day all :)

Good afternoon one and all.

Boy is it cold! It snowed nearly all day yesterday - about 10cm (4") had a bit more overnight then it thawed a bit today but not by much. Listening to the few brave souls (and their dogs) crunching about on the paths and road it is now freezing again.

I feel a curry coming on with naans and veggie rice.

Keep warm everyone.
