Just noting the figures. Give or take a few the averages for the last few days are 53,000 cases and 850 deaths. That's a mortality rate of 1.6% and is up from the long-term average of 0.29%.

It will be interesting to see the R number when it is published on Monday. It is currently 1.2 but could rise to between 1.6 to 1.9.

The number of patients in hospital with Covid is now 24,000, the highest it has ever been and is increasing.

And still the stupids are out partying. A large group just used the ginnel as a cut through and they were all party ready and pre-loaded.

Yep, the government can say what it likes but irresponsible people will do what they like, regardless.
