Vic, I think there's a distinction between what's law, what's advice, and what's, well, moral.
The Verbiers episode is a case in point. Nothing that the "escapees" did was against the law. But whether they should they have been over there in the first place is another question entirely.

We have a cottage just up the road from us that was sold about two month ago to a couple from London.

They were here the weekend the sale completed and then we’ve not seen them since.

Until London was put into tier 4. Then they arrived late that night. And have had visitors on and off over Xmas.

We haven’t actually seen them (good) but I’m pretty sure they’ll have been to the supermarket.

They haven’t won any friends up here!!
