Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 30 Dec 2020, 07:00

Good morning.

No more snow so I'm off for a long walk.

Tesco again to get essential provisions for dad.... and to stock up on lots of goodies to take home.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny, but cold. And a dry day, for a change 8-)

Overslept, after a rubbish nights sleep  Seems to be every other night at the moment. Think it's because I can't get out and about and therefore don't do a lot during the day.

Off to do the Pingo run this morning, pit-stop for coffee and check the post and that's it for the day.

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally and Jan, morning everyone

Jan, same here cold and dry which makes a pleasant change :) I know what you mean about not getting out to do much; I'm struggling with that as well a bit - just too wet to be doing anything at the allotment (and too cold) so I'm just spending my time indoors at the computer.

Ally, remind me - do you fly home tomorrow or Friday? Going to say hopefully tomorrow because then we're still officially part of the EU and you'll be allowed to take home what you want; but come Friday it'll be a different issue and you'll have to go via the green 'Nothing to Declare' gates vs the blue "Arrivals from EU"

A quiet work day for me which is great. Karl is popping over in a bit to do a few more things in the kitchen. I've now got to decide what to do with the one wall - either paint or tile and if I tile what type. I'm quite keen on the metro / subway tiles but the wall is right by the hob so it's going to be a nightmare with all the grouting and keeping that clean. But I've still got some time before I need to decide as that wall is the last thing to be finished off (just as well really :D )

Off to the shops at some point as well to get some more veg for the chickens. I've got enough for today and tomorrow but need to get just a bit more to see me through the weekend as I'd rather not have to go shopping then.

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning everybody.

We had more snow in the night. It was still freezing when I walked to get the paper.
Am having to do most of the housework, including ironing as mrs.e is not up to it.
Will have a lazy afternoon.

Hope you have a good flight Ally.
Will have to goshopping on Saturday as we are getting low on some food items.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s dry, dull and cold here but no frost. Ironing beckons today  and at some stage we need to walk up to Miss Osc’s and feed their fish. So a fairly normal sort of day while we await the imposition of very strict restrictions

Morning all :)

Nice and sunny here 8-)

Enjoy your shopping trip Ally.
Hope Mrs.E is soon feeling better Cruiser.
Another week when I'm not sure what day it is, all my usual routine is upside down, doesn't take a lot to confuse me   Doesn't help that I'm doing the washing today instead of Friday, the bed's stripped and the first load's almost finished. Nothing much else happening, filling/emptying the machine and making the bed later is enough for one day.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Hate shopping, hate it, hate it, hate it

Pingo was a blasted nightmare, no-one distancing, got bumped into several times, far too many people in there. I cleaned my trolley as always, which was good, as it had to come from the "used" trolley section :x

By the time I got out, they were queuing up outside

Lovely and sunny, washing out, more to get done and we'll pop down to the bar for a couple of beers later.

Our strict travel conditions started already Osc. No travel from 11.00pm until 5.00am and none at all from 1.00pm until 5.00am from tomorrow night, until Monday morning. The more severe areas of infection continue to have those conditions. We're lucky, as we're in a moderate area.

For the first time in several days, we've not lit the fire yet.

Well that was interesting! Been with D to get her vaccine! All very efficient and distanced, but a heck of a queue! Then a sit down for 15 minutes, to make sure of no allergic reaction. We're back at hers now, having some lunch.

I think we might go into Tier 4 later :?
