Get a load of paper towels and turn the keyboard upside down on them. If it's the lappy keyboard turn it off then pat the keyboard with said towels and give it a gentle blow with a warm, not hot, hair dryer.

Well, sigh..... keyboard not working - even worse than it was yesterday. Just as well the laptop has a separate keyboard and just as well Argos have one in stock and I can collect tomorrow when I'm heading there anyway.

Daft me

But I did have a moment of huge panic earlier on when I logged on to the computer. I hadn't realised I'd hit the control key on the faulty keyboard which mean the laptop keyboard didn't work either and I really worried that was affected as well which would be a MAJOR disaster. But phew - saw the little error message and thank goodness all OK now.

Ria, have you tried the paper towels and hair dryer trick on the separate keyboard. It has saved me a few times.

The champers will still be wet in there soooo.... a quick gentle spray of the key with glass / shower cleaner, hold it up and spray upwards. Then it's upside on the paper towels and press a few times, then use the hair dryer on cold line by line back to front. You'll be surprised how much juice comes out. Then on warm for a dry out.

Well worth a try on a slow day. :D :D :D

Just done it again Frank and still no joy - I've now got it on a shelf just above the radiator so it can dry out from that heat. Maybe later today it'll start working again but the issue is the sugars in the prosecco, that'll be making the keys stick a bit.

But I've got until tomorrow morning to try fix it
