Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 08 Dec 2020, 06:59

Good morning.

Cloudy sunshine forecast.

I'm off for a stompette shortly. :D

It's another holiday here today. It was on Monday and yesterday was a puente. 8-)

I've got a chicken to bung in the oven that I'll do with spicy wedges and salad for dinner.

GB Menu and Masterchef tonight. :D

Have a great day.

Sis is driving from dad's today down to Northampton to see her hubby Mark who has been with his mum all this time too (almost 5 weeks.) His mum Maureen is having hip replacement surgery today. She's 85.
Michele remembers Moz being in alot of pain when she was in France with them last xmas. She was due her operation back in April but of course it was cancelled due to Covid.
Apparently, all being well, she'll be out of hospital by Friday.

Talking of which....did anyone watch Hospital on BBC 2 last night? I think you've mentioned it Saundra? Very moving. It's been a great series which really puts things into perspective. :o

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Good luck to Marks mum for today Ally, I hope all goes well. The difference a new hip made to my mom was amazing; the relief from the pain almost instant; hope it's the same for Marks mum.
Looking forward to GB Menu and Masterchef as well - loving GB Menu this time with its Christmas theme; those guys are so creative it's fun to watch them

It's another misty and cold day here; apparently meant to clear up later this morning but I'll believe it when I see it - yesterday was just dull the whole day long. Usual work day for me, with a much much calmer and quieter start to the day than yesterday; phew :D A bit more pootling to be done in-between - oh and something I don't do very often; ironing. I have some Christmas runners for the dining table that need ironing before they go on the table.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning everyone.

A rare one from me. Couldn't sleep for some reason and have been pacing about since 6;30 ish.

It's clear but a bit chilly so I'll probably go for a walk. Keep well and safe you all and smile, smile, smile.

Good luck for Mark's mum. Hip pain is no fun.
Nice morning here. In a while we are doing a little shop and we have a wine delivery this afternoon.
I had a long chat with my brother yesterday, haven't seen him for a while now. He lives in North Yorkshire and I'm in the West of the county so we are in different tiers.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :)

Bright and sunny here 8-)

We've been watching Hospital Ally, mainly because E was moved to Barnet for cardiac tests after his hip op went awry. It's been quite emotional for us, the surgeon who operated on his knee to clear infection was in last weeks episode. Last night the lady who was due to go home and was told she couldn't go after all was particularly upsetting. The filming was going on while he was there, he was actually asked if he would be willing to take part, but chose not to.

Good luck to Mark's mum.

E's appointment went very well, I was allowed to sit in reception with him and when the orthotist came to collect him he invited me in too. I was quite surprised, but it was nice, in spite of the masks it felt quite normal. The shoes I bought are okay. They need to add over 2ins and will let us know when they are ready to collect, hopefully in 2/3 weeks so probably in the new year. If Ed is happy with them he can have a second pair done so he has shoes for indoors and out. Really hope they help, it will make such a big difference and mean we'll be able to get out for some short walks.

No plans for today, I was absolutely cream crackered after the drive yesterday. I had dreadful cramp in my inner thigh when I got up, still feels sore, probably due to the drive yesterday. The round trip took almost 2hrs, the most driving I've done since last Christmas when we visited Z and the boys.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon all, it’s quite bright and chilly here. Rain is forecast for later.

I’ve finally sat down and just looked at my Fitbit and I’ve done close to 11 miles so far today. A walk with Bill, then a walk into town and back and then another walk with Bill. It’s coffee time now. John’s back to working from home today after being in the office yesterday, he doesn’t intend going into the office unless he really has to.

Hope everything goes well for Mark’s Mom, my Mom has had both hips done over the course of 20 years and it’s made such a difference for her.

Glad all went well for E :)

Have a good day all :)

Afternoon all, it’s a pleasant day but cold. I didn’t go for a walk, although I went to the library and the post office. Edward went to play golf. Now I really have to settle down and do some ironing, and I have a wash ready to come out of the machine. Glad all went well yesterday, Jen, and good luck to Mark’s mum.

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, all the very best to Maureen ((((x))))

Jen I'm glad the appointment went well :) xxx

It's been a beautiful sunny but cold day here. Been up to see D. Becky has gone to Bristol for a follow-up to her vein treatment - Mick's taken her. No point me going as she has to go in alone.

Love to all xxx
