Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 01 Dec 2020, 05:36

Good morning.

Another fine day forecast. 8-)

I was AWOL over the weekend as I had just the nicest time with Don. 3 whole days of practically summer sunshine which we spent alot of in the garden. We also went out for long lunches Saturday and Sunday. Which meant the chicken got roasted yesterday.

Usual work for me today then home tonight to GB Menu, Masterchef and something with chicken on our menu.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

A lovely, sunny morning, with just a few clouds around. Such a change from yesterday 8-)

Washing out already and a gentle day, as I had, again, a rubbish nights sleep.

Just get that ironing done though

Think we'll have a bbq later, make the most of the sun :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

That sounds like a lovely weekend Ally and I hope you get a better night's sleep tonight Jan.
Good morning! It's a nice one too, lots of blue sky and sun.
Later we will go for a paper, a lottery ticket and a bit of a scout around. Debenham's is shutting down. Not a surprise if the Wakefield store is anything to go by. It was never busy and the last time MrsC was in there were just racks and racks of sales clothes. So sad for the workforce though.
The first of December today. I won't be sorry to see the back of this year and that's for sure.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Lovely and sunny here 8-)

It's our 47th anniversary today, seems strange not being able to go out for lunch, or even better being somewhere nice and warm. We've celebrated in lots of exotic places over the years. In spite of that it feels extra special this year after the year we've had. E's treat for the day is listening to Radio 2, they're playing Christmas songs all day, he's delighted

Strangely no plans today, but I have put a bottle of bubbly in the fridge to have with dinner this evening :D :D :D

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s a decent enough day here although it was nicer earlier on. We are out of level 5 :Hi: so Edward was able to play golf. I drove him to the club, then went for a walk along the two piers when I came back, while having a video chat with some friends. I’ve put on a batch of soup, will have my lunch when that is done and then I’ll have to do some ironing. My sister said she would call this afternoon too, we are giving her our old Dyson and also she got me some of my favourite body lotion yesterday.

Afternoon all :)

Al, that sounds so nice 8-) :) xxx

Hope you sleep better tonight Jan :) xxx

Crommers, it's rotten news about Debenhams, isn't it? All those jobs gone, including our nephew's wife who works in the Bournemouth branch. They've not long bought a house and taken on a mortgage :( xxx

Happy Anniversary Jen and E! It is strange not to be able to go out to celebrate - Mick and I felt that way last week - but just to be able to be together is definitely the main thing :) xxx

Sunshine here Saundra, and almost cold enough for snow! xxx

That's good news Osc, hope E enjoys his golf :) xxx

As I just mentioned it's bitter cold here today, but the sunshine has been lovely! I've been to D's for our usual Tuesday lunch - tomato soup and a roll today! Not long got home. Nothing much else happening, will be glad to be out of lockdown tomorrow.....

Love to all :) xxx

Evening all. Day at the office today which means a busy one. I was on my own there today and it was lovely - meant I could do quite a bit without many interruptions. Back home on an earlier train and now logged back in again and will keep an eye on emails for the next hour or so.

Got the first snow photo's from my family in Germany; it's earlier this year than has been for quite some time - well normal for this time of year really but the past few years it's just been odd. A definite advantage of working from home is that I don't have to worry about scraping icy car windscreens :D

Now to think what to have for dinner - I have some left over roast chicken but not sure what to do with it.

Have a lovely evening everyone, stay warm x
