Good Morning Monday

Postby JanB » 23 Nov 2020, 08:16

Morning everyone

A lovely, sunny morning, although a little chilly at the moment. Heavy dew too, saves watering the plants ;)

Washing machine on, must take advantage o this weather :D

We're off to Castro Verde this morning, there are a couple of drogaria's there that might have some onion plants and maybe some other stuff. Will pop into Worten's too (appliance shop that does tv's, washing machines etc)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning, it’s my favourite kind of morning - clear and frosty :D

Bill’s been walked, the washing machine’s on, John’s in the home office and Joe’s got the week off and has reverted to his 5 year old self and keeps asking when we’re putting up the trees  I said later in the week but I might give him the task of fitting the icicle lights over the garage door today.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all. Cold and sunny with blue skies here.
Jan, yesterday Migual Oliviera won the MotoGP race at Portimao (motorbikes). Apparently he's a new Portuguese hero!
We are picking Eliza up from playgroup at 11.30, before that we'll nip out for a paper.
Jen, I hope your ankle is a bit better today and that E is doing well.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon all, it’s a pleasant enough day here and we went for a walk along the two piers - it’s got duller now, glad we got out early. There are several things I could do with the day, ironing, reading, knitting......

Morning all :D

Bright sunshine here 8-)

E's doing well thanks Crommers. His confidence is loads better, he's getting round the bungalow really well. Of course he's very limited, he can't stand unaided so needs help washing, dressing etc. etc. and it will remain so until if/when he gets the re-op. He's always done all the heavy stuff, emptying the bins, hoovering, dealing with food deliveries etc. etc. plus lots of other things around the house and I can see he worries when he sees me doing too much, but needs must and all that. My ankle is a constant problem, it was x-rayed a couple of years ago and showed mild arthritis. Back then I did have days without pain, now it's sore all the time. I really need an MRI as the AVN that caused my hip replacement commonly affects other joints. Physio gave me a good set of exercises and they do help a bit, but of course if I overdo it, stand in one place for too long, it becomes excruciating.

It's operation tree day. Being vertically challenged it could be a bit tricky putting it up  Probably won't get it decorated today as I'm also expecting a Tesco delivery this afternoon. Not a problem, I'm happy to pace myself over the next few days. The only thing I can't manage is the outside decs, it's a shame as it will be the first time they haven't gone up since we moved here, but after the last few months worrying about E it's really not that important. On 1st Dec I'll put the pre lit wreath on the door and hang my lovely Christmas basket.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Hello all

well a rather busy morning today; vet appointment and then work to be done and then off to Sainsbury's to pick up my neighbours shopping for her. It was meant to be delivered yesterday but the drivers wife went into unexpected labour and hey didn't have a back up driver. And no spare delivery slots today or tomorrow so the only way she would get here stuff if someone went to fetch it. So I obviously went as she doesn't have anyone else that could do it. And before I know it, cuppa tea made and enjoyed and now it's 3pm - just how that happened I don't know  :o

Jan, hope you got all you wanted in Castro Verde
Jen, can you not ask someone for help with the outside lights - so many people at home these days that would be happy to not only get out and have something to do but genuinely be happy to help. I think you are already a member of NextDoor? If not join up and ask there :D - and also ask for help with the heavy things like bins x Glad to hear though that E's doing better and getting more and more confident - that's fab

I'll be heading out for a tree the week of 7th December - the joys of working from home I can go during the week and aren't restricted to weekend only; looking forward to 'tarting' up the house = I love this time of year with all the lights :D

Have a lovely rest of day everyone x

Jen there is a product on the market that can help a little with arthritic pain, it is called Flexiseq - you may have already heard of it. I use it for my shoulder and knee. Worth a try?

Afternoon everyone :)

Sorry to be so late to the party, but I've been out all day. First up to B&M to get a few bits towards Christmas, then straight up to D's :) It's been a nice dry day here, it's definitely getting chillier though!

Love and hugs to all :) xxx
