Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 20 Nov 2020, 06:32

Good morning.

A very pleasant 24 degrees forecast.

I'm off for a run. :D

Back to very happily pootle till my two private students 4.30 - 6.30.

Will meet Don and do a spot of shopping at Mercadona.

We're ordering a Chinese feast to be delivered at 8.30.

Don will watch the Birmingham City game on his laptop (cue drama  in a bad way  ) and I'll happily plug into my tablet and watch the last 3 episides of IACGMOOH without all the ad breaks. MasterChef comes first in this house and as they're on at the same time Marcus Waring is the clear favourite.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

24 degrees Ally - we can only but dream. 2 degrees here at the moment and today's high is expected to be around 8 or 9. There is a thin white layer of frost on the roof tops - a definitely plus of not having to commute to work; no having to scrape windscreens!

Ally - Chinese tonight sounds delicious and enjoy IACGMOOH - not a programme I ever got into; but do enjoy MasterChef.

A usual Friday workday mixed with pootling for me. Being picked up at 4pm to go to friends for mulled wine and pizza

Have a lovely day all

Morning Ally, Ria and everyone

A lovely, sunny morning, but a little chilly at the moment. Must make the most of it, we're down to single figures at night as from next week

Washing out, next one doing.

Cleaning for me this morning, then sit outside and weed. When it's warmer ;) I did a little bit of landscape gardening yesterday, hoped to get it done before Grumpy saw what I was doing, but he came out to tell me that the state of emergency will continue for another 15 days. We'll be told over the next few days what measures each area will have. Up north is letting us all down, we+re not doing too badly, but the infection rate of climbing. Then again, they're testing everything that moves  Our president and even the prime minister are coming across very well.

Never watched that sleb thing, not once, so no idea what it's like, but love Masterchef 8-)

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all. It is grey and chilly here.
I like Chinese food too Ally. MrsC doesn't though, so that's that. Ria, Sergio is making us pizza! And we have a nice bottle of red in, happy days.
Yes Jan, enjoy the warmth whilst you have it. 24c would be ideal for me.
In a while we'll have a Tesco run for some more wine, then go to M&S to get a couple of vouchers for Christmas presents.
Also a piece of beef for Sunday dinner.
Have a nice day all.

We managed to get some broad beans yesterday, so that's Grumpy's job this morning :Hi:

Now lovely and warm.

Morning all :D

Lovely sunshine here, but it is a tad on the chilly side brrr.

Boots rang yesterday to say they will deliver E's meds this afternoon, I was beginning to worry as he runs out on Monday, didn't fancy having to rush into town like last time. Usual washing day so the machine is on the go. We had a nice lie in so I probably won't get it all done today, but hope to do most of it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

That must have been a relief Jen.
We have just been to Tesco. MrsC went in and bought six bottles of Les Tuguets de Madiran. Usually £7 and a bargain at that. Decant it for two hours before drinking and it is very smooth.
But today it was £6 a bottle; and because MrsC bought six bottles she got a 25% discount.
So it works out at £4.50 a bottle - happy days! :Hi:

We always wait for a promotion when we buy our bubbly Crommers. Back in the summer Tesco were selling an £11 bottle of Freixenet for £8 so with the 25% discount offer we paid £6, yes you've guessed, we bought 4 cases, a saving of £48 8-)

Afternoon all, it’s dull and cool here but the rain stopped around 9am as was forecast. I had my Friday walk with my friends, first time in five weeks that the sun hasn’t shone on us. After our fairly busy week, we are taking it easier today. Edward got an appointment in the post this morning, to see a consultant about his hernia on 23rd December, that came through quite quickly although goodness only knows when the surgery will happen. Knitting/reading for the rest of the day.
