Another terror attack in France

Postby cromwell » 29 Oct 2020, 12:43

Or as the BBC would have it, "terror" attack. They feel that putting the word terror in apostrophes casts doubt; like it might not actually have been a terror attack.
Even though people were murdered in a Church with either one or two of them beheaded. And you can count on the Beeb to never mention the word .beheaded.
I wonder how quickly they will manage to drop the story?

I have not seen the TV news, but I have read articles, including on the BBC, and the words "beheaded", "decapitated" and "terror attack" have all been used without quotation marks. I have not seen anything trying to pretend that it was anything other than an Islamist related terror attack, one of many in recent days.

It is now being reported that in another incident, in Avignon, an attacker has been shot dead and also that the French security alert has been raised to its highest level in all territories.

Well that's made a liar of me. They've updated the story since I posted.

People do react to them and they can change the text. Perhaps they got a barrage of mails telling them to sort themselves out.

I want to say things which are banned. So I'll just resort to banging my head on the desk.
