Flipping through a magazine in a coffee shop in town I came across an article about a new website for sewing people, with lots of advice and 'how to' videos

www.simplicitynewlook.com

Thought it might be of interest :)

I couldn't watch the final last night, so have just watched it this afternoon. Ann was a worthy winner. Just brilliant! Roll on the next series :D
(Oh, and I want that sewing room they work in  )

It was a lovely final and I loved every second of it too Loz. Ann was the best. She did each stage properly and made me want to dressmake again but I won't! The way she matched up the lace material balancing the pattern even on the sleeves. A dedicated sewing room is the way to go with everything set up ready to walk into and start sewing. I can still enjoy my memories of walking into my local haberdashery for all those bits like dress patterns, bias binding, buttons, matching cottons to fabric, zips and spending my entire lunch hour choosing things.

The male judge said he'd love to employ her! What a compliment :)

It was terrific wasn't it :)
Ann was definitely a worthy winner, but Sandra was just lovely, and all Lauren needs is another 30 or 40 years' experience :D
