Yes Ostrich-he's the only one I recognise and for a minute I thought Ruth from Spooks (Nicola Walker?) was in it but of course that's Prisoners Wives! :?

That's a problem with British TV at the moment, the pool of 'talent' is quite small, with the same people used over and over.

Ellie the cop (Olivia Colman) is to star in a new costume drama... and I'll scream if Dara O'Briain, Stephen Fry or Alun Davies crop up in anything else.

I am still really enjoying this - I think it was the policewoman' son!

Didn't see the first half of it because we watched Johnathan Creek, which the Beeb changed the times of, to start after the 9:00 watershed. We felt the Creek was pretty poor really, and a good example of why certain previously-entertaining series are sometimes best not resurrected.

So we caught the last 1/2 hour of Broadchurch on ITV+1 and it was quite powerful stuff.

I was disappointed in Jonathan Creek as well :( We've always loved it, but the plot was all over the place, the strands didn't knit up well, and as for JC being a hotshot ad executive - how ridiculous!!!!

I still enjoyed Sherian Smith's Joey character though - she is such a good actress 8-)

I watched Jonathon Creek for the first time ever. Completely ridiculous. Is it supposed to be tongue in cheek like that or is it supposed to be taken seriously.

I loved Sheridan Smith too - she is a fabulous actress.

We are beginning to wonder about the policewoman's son too. He certainly knows something.

Debih yes it is very TIC - it is written by the guy who wrote One Foot in the Grave - but I've watched it from day one and this effort was pretty poor. By far the worst of the bunch :?

Sorry for the threadjack Broadchurch people  :D
