Flipping oven!

Postby Kaz » 01 Apr 2013, 15:41

:( My oven is playing up today! I had a lamb curry in there cooking in a pyrex dish, went to check on it and it was hardly warm! The fan is working but there was hardly any heat coming out of it - and strangest of all, a fine powder and little black bits are all over the oven interior! :? The curry is ok, I can cook that in the microwave, but I had to bin the garlic bread that was in the oven with it!

Mick thinks it's the element - we'll need to call someone out. Thank goodness for microwaves I suppose!

I am thankful this didn't happen yesterday - when I had a massive leg of lamb in it

That was my first thought - a new element shouldn't cost too much :) Fingers crossed xx

Mick thinks he can mend it himself  :? He's ordered the part he needs

On the plus side the top grill is still working, so I can still do chops and that kind of thing
