The AirBoris A330.

The paint job is finished and it looks like .... a third rate budget airline.

I know that it is only an "artist's impression" of the Union Jack (Flag) but from the starboard side it looks to be flying upside down and that's an indication of distress - pretty apt for the present. Then there is the French pennant on the fuselage; oh dear!

All that was needed was the real flag on the tail fin, the words "United Kingdom" in black and in Times New Roman on the fuselage above and behind the wing and a nice BIG RAF roundel in front. It is an operational RAF plane after all is said and done.

I like the idea of an RAF roundel on it.

Complete waste of money and resources. He's got a pushbike, what else does he need?

I had a look at some other national planes. They are mostly white with the name of the country on the upper fuselage, national flag on the tail, and a go-faster stripe in the national colours front to rear on the body. The French one turns into their red, white and blue flag on the tail.

What have we got? A bloody mobile art installation by some comic book illustrator or David Hockney or "Banksy" or some other waste of rations.

Art takes different people different ways.

I don't think it looks that bad and £10m is not a high price to market our sovereignty.

I am very much for this kind of move and it may take a few iterations to come to a really solid format.

Small steps.

Its primary function is as a bloody RAF combat asset not a comic book cartoon!

I know, let's paint RN vessels in LGBT rainbow colours, we all know that matelots are a bit fey don't we? Or how about army tanks in pink with a gold turret and a lime green gun barrel with the 2nd battalion in Bagpuss outfits. They would look good.

Job done. Art, popular culture, and war sorted, and not a bad look for a few quid. And they could all fly the Union Flag upside down as they retreat. Spiffing!

Any Prime minister/President should "fly the flag" of their country
