What's for dinner?

Postby debih » 30 Mar 2013, 18:00

I have been busy in the kitchen again. I love my kitchen. :D :D :D

I have made a minced beef and potato pie and we are having that with mashed potatoes, carrots and mange tout.

I had mentioned chocolate fondue to the girls but I am hoping they have forgotten! I would rather wait until they go to bed and eat the chocolate.

We all had a cooked lunch in Debenhams this lunchtime, so we've had the last of the hot cross buns with some lovely mature cheddar for tea :D

Settling down to watch Doc Who now 8-)

We had risotto with diced grilled rashers, sweet potato, leeks and courgettes through it, and some mild goat cheese stirred in at the end. Then I had a soya yogurt and am now having some Mr. Kipling lemon slices and a cup of green tea.

Second half of a chicken roasted on Thursday (harissa and lemon), with potato wedges, rocket & baby leaf salad, tomatoes and a lemon & chilli dip made with Greek yoghurt :)

FRESH fish, and chips from the fish and chip shop on the wharf at raglan. So fresh, it was being in off the boats while we were waiting.

But the challenge was, they only sold, fish, fish burgers, chips and fried potato cakes. So to feed a daughter who has to avoid fish for another year due to allergies, it was a bit of a problem. It was looking like she was going to have fried potatoes done 2 ways. (Un)luckily she had hit sickville again by the time I got back and didn't eat, but fell asleep instead.

Oliver loved his fish, a rare treat for him, as I don't serve it at home at all, but I sneak him bits of fish and nuts every now and then.

Being Easter Sunday, no other shops were open. Oops. We should have saved our BBQ meat for tonight. On well, I know for next year.
