OK, that's not really true, but... The acting, the characters and the stories are so believable and so well done.

I don't live in Halifax, not many of us do, but I bet we know plenty of Celias, Alans, Gillians, Carolines and their likes.

Agreed, but then she does it in The Split also, and when she was in Unforgotten. It's clearly part of her (the actress) but a little distracting.
