Have BBC One and ITV given up on Saturday night

Just reading the TV guide and from 6 pm to 10:30 pm only Pointless, Casualty and The Voice get a rating over 5.0 out of 10, and then only just - 5.5, 5.4 and 5.4. The rest don't even get above 2.0 and one, First & Last only gets 0.7.

Only C4 and C5 seem to bother, but for anything else you have to dig down into the minor channels of Freeview. No wonder Sky, Netflix, Prime, Disney, Now and so on are doing so well.

We seem to watch more Netflix than anything else at the moment!

Agreeing that Saturday night in particular is dire Sundays are much better, Dancing on Ice (Ally and I "critique" it over WhatsApp ) Then with Vera or Call The Midwife - I watch one, then catch up with the other

Saturdays are rubbish I agree!! We have also been hammering Netflix on Saturdays , although Sunday is a completely different scenario! TOO much on at once, and I'm awaiting delivery on a new TalkTalk box tomorrow so no recording available....have to do catch up later.

Not into DOI this series, we're waiting for the Christine Keeler Trial at 9, and will watch SAS on C4+1 at 10. Vera will be on catch up later in the week.

The only thing I watch on Saturday nights is Casualty.

Like you Kaz, Netflix is the first place we look for something to watch, along with Prime.

I think the basic package is £7.99 - but it might be more. We're naughty, as Jen's boyfriend pays for a prime package, which means he can use I think 7 different gadgets to watch on....we hook up to his account

It may only be shortlived, I think they've (Netflix) cottoned on to this and are clamping down....

Ours is about £7 possibly £7.99, not 100% sure. Our BT Box was free through Mick, but we have to pay to watch Netflix on it. It's well worth it IMO

Apparently it is now £5.99 a month for the basic package, which given you can get a great film every day for about 20p is a bargain.
