Your weather

Postby tonicha » 25 Mar 2013, 13:47

has just been on our national tele :o

The national station spent about 3 minutes on it - showing the snow and people shovelling snow, snow ploughs doing what they have to do.

I know it's raining  again  but it's warmer anyway :D

We've had a few flurries over the weekend and some again this morning, but nothing settled. It just flew around in the skies and that was it.

But this wind!!!!!! bbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

We've had tons of the white stuff. It's piled high at the side of the roads but at least the roads are passable now, although our lane is rather dodgy! We have had around 18 inches of the stuff but it looks much worse in places because of the drifting.

We haven't had any snow now since late morning on Sunday.

The winds are horrific - you can hear it whistling down the valley and I'm really surprised not to have seen more trees and branches down.

The wind is forecast to die down on Wednesday but there is quite a big risk of more snow towards the end of the week and as it is not likely to warm up at all it will come down on top of what is already there.

Still wall to wall blue here. But it is starting to get cooler in the mornings and evenings
