Morning everyone from a dreary, wet but thankfully snow-free Gloucester. I hope those of you with snow stay warm and snug - Kate that's great about the coal and the pups, Cromwell that made me LOL

I hope this rotten weather doesn't spoil too many plans for people to be with family xxxxxxx

Mick is off work this week, using up the last of his annual leave before April. However Becks and I are leaving him in peace today, we need to get into town to the bank to order her money and travellers cheques for Borneo. She also still needs a sun proof hat - a beanie style for the jungle part of the trip, and some more long trousers :) Go Outdoors might be the likely place 8-)

Have a good day everyone, take care xxxx

A rather belated good afternmoon everyone

Been busy, spending money

Started out okay ish, but clouded over quite quickly and we now have strong wind and thick cloud.

But I put the washing out anyway and it's obviously been blown dry

Now fully stocked up for the next few months, all cupboards about to fall down, both freezers and fridges full, just need to get some meat from the butchers and I'm all set for whatever the weather throws at me.

Also bought a new portable bbq from our local hardware shop . Living in hope

Hope you all stay safe and warm xx

Afternoon all, we've had no more snow overnight but we have got isn't going anywhere :? Tom's just taken Billy out in it for a walk and then he's going sledging with friends later (Tom that is, not Bill), Joe's snuggled in a chair and I'm going to sit with him shortly. Tom's generously passed the cold he had last week onto the rest of us (hence why he's out with the dog and I'm not  ). I've not been totall lazy though, I've been to the gym and then nipped over to the shops for a few presents. I was about to walk home but could see people really struggling on the pavements ahead of me, in the direction of home, so I went to get the bus instead. I won't be doing that again in a hurry - I felt like an extra on Shameless :?

Have a good day everyone!

Late check in but I've been busy :D It's absolutely freezing, Siberia can have it's east wind back thank you very much  When the east wind blows, we might as well not have glass in our windows as we face right into it so the front of the house is really cold and the heating and gas fire aren't even touching it :( However, it's very dry, and I wrapped up and went for a walk around the block as I needed to buy a few bits and also go to the post office. Was glad I did as the sea is absolutely amazing, great huge white rollers on a furious grey sea - gorgeous and there was even a bit of sunshine.

I've made soup (and had some!) and we are catching up on the Voice of Ireland as we were not at home for it last night. I'm tempted to start knitting again, I have a pattern and creamy coloured cotton to knit a little summer cardi, although summer seems very far away at the moment. Have a good day everyone, and stay warm!

Freeeeezing out there, although sunny, so we got the bus both ways - 'shameless' or not Jo :P

I suspect you may have a nicer bus clientele there Kaz
If I say that the bus I caught also stops at a sink estate you may get a picture of the passengers
