I think that Corbyn is a genuine but fundamentally misguided man, whereas Johnson is insincerity personified, but they are not the reasons I will stay away.

Until manifestos are legally binding, meaning that the winners must put forward bills to try to get them on statute, then they are nothing more than soundbites and sales pitches. Leaders / politicians can go on air and promise the earth knowing full well that they will never have to deliver. There will always be excuses as to why what was promised cannot be progressed - at this moment in time. They are always there for a future that never comes until they are quietly forgotten. And let's not forget the mud slinging, there will be plenty of that as well.

Thankfully there is a documentary on 5+ about the Flying Scotsman locomotive, so I'm good.

I wont be watching. When it comes to voting I will vote either for the Conservative or Brexit candidate as I want to leave the EU. It will most probably be a paper exercise anyway as the Labour candidate usually gets in in our area. He is not a bad MP and will probably do more good than harm, which is more that can be said for many of those putting themselves up for election.

I will probably not watch live, but catch up with some of it later - althoughI have already decided which party I'll be voting for.

I dislike these debates, as I think they are popularity contests, and we really need to get away from the populist way of voting that we seem to have borrowed from the Yanks, and vote for the policies - as I shall be.

Me too, and that's because like everybody else I already know the general direction of travel of every party and I do not want to be riding along with some of them.

As for policies, well most of them tend to be 'populist' and of the moment, and unless some way can be found to force parties to (try to) implement them once in power they are nothing more than meaningless twaddle - see the latest from the Cons, Lab, LidDems and Greens for details. Tons of popular ideas very few of which will ever become reality.

One thing I don't like about it is that the TV people will imo get very entitled about this, feeling that candidates must come on, and slagging them off if they don't.
And as already said, most people have already decided who they will vote for.
I just wish it were tomorrow, then we could get it over with.

We shaln't bother watching it. We get a daily newspaper and it will be all over that and social media anyway.

Saundra, we've had two election flyers so far, both Liberal Democrat!

I'm genuinely undecided whether I will bother voting or not, to be honest. Although it doesn't make a scrap of difference in this constituency (which is of the "pin a blue rosette on a pig" variety), I usually do register my vote as a matter of principle, but I can't drum up any enthusiasm for any of the parties whatsoever. If I do, it will probably be Labour as I support the general thrust of their policies, but they are such an obnoxious bunch of politicians, I'm very much tending towards simply not voting at all.

I honestly don't think alot of people will vote ossie and after seeing them at westminster I'm not surprised
It's all conservative here, a ny way and our MP Gregg knight never comes to the town
