I am beyond excited as in two hours I'll be at the airport picking up my best friend.

I'm spending the whole day with her and staying over tonight so it's a day of beers, beach and bumming around!

Morning all

My birthday continues... Afternoon tea with my family today, then the same again tomorrow with the inlaws. I'm sure my jeans were shrunk in the wash.

I slept last night, I mean I really really slept. An entire night without waking once, and I had even gone to bed early, so had 12 hours of solid deep sleep. Oh wow, I've felt so good today. Bliss. Bet I dont sleep a wink tonight.

Not quite sure anyone over here will manage to enjoy the day Ally, a large part of the country has lots of snow with more forecast, and the rest of us have yet more rain, with more forecast It really is getting hard to be cheerful
So, yes, rain here, just for a change.
I shall be taking refuge in the kitchen, sweet and sour chicken for dinner tonight, and as it's a large tin of pineapple, youngest and I are going to make a pineapple upside down cake as well Will have to pop into town at some point, will see if there's any gaps in the wet stuff
Have a good time Kaz, glad it wasn't a long drive for today.

Di..she rang me from the plane!

Instead of a 6.30 flight they were leaving at 8.30.

I'll now be able to have my Mr Martin Saturday fix and then meet her at the airport.

I'll just say I do feel for you all with the weather over there..I speak to mum every day and when she tells me she's fed up with it then I know it's bad.

Surely the snow and rain has to end soon. Send some our way. We had a little bit over night which was good, but still not enough

Morning all. We are snowed in. We have at least a foot of snow and its forecast to keep coming all day.

I am going to bake. My pantry, fridge and freezer are fully stocked but I know we have no bread. I just hope the dried yeast is still active.

We are off to a 60th birthday party tonight. It's only at the hotel down the road so we will probably venture down.

Flipping weather, getting a tad cheesed off now. Mind you, at least we only have rain so far.

Bitter cold, wet and now trying to snow
OH has to stay in for another week to rest his foot so
he is in the best place
Going down to Morrisons to get something for dinner.
They have their Chinese meals on half price offer and they are nice
so that will do.
Got M&S Spring meal for 2 for tomorrow.
It includes wine but is`nt priced at £10 - mine came to £11 so
was`nt too bad as the wine was £7.99.

It looks like a Christmas card here. In fact I wished a fellow dog-walker a Merry Christmas
and all he said was, 'A happy New Year'.

We won't be going anywhere this weekend.

All I can say is, make the most of it. It will soon be Spring (I hope).
