The Andrew Neil I recognise is an evangelical no-deal leave supporting ultra right-wing polemicist with not a politically neutral molecule in his body and who once employed arch holocaust denier, David Irving, to work on the Sunday Times. He also ran articles arguing that HIV did not cause Aids! He is a disgrace.

He is an arrogant bully who asks questions and then argues with the interviewee when they respond, often talking over them... as he did last night.

I always got the feeling that Diane Abbott was only on This Week because she is as thick as mince and was a patsy for Neil's anti-left agenda.

The BBC would be crucified if it employed someone as far to left as he is to the right to present a similar programme.

I don't think Diane Abbott's brain fog was quite as apparent when she was on This Week as it is now. I thought they seemed quite chummy at the time, except for the one time Andrew Neil needled her about the private school her son attended. They were never the same after that and her appearances were few and far between. I took it that Diane Abbott had declined to appear on This Week, but who can be sure.

He always let Abbott ramble on, chipping in every now and then to make sure she tied herself in knots, even though she was doing it without his 'help'. I do not like Abbott one bit, but it was cringe inducing at times.
