Watched part 3 last night (it feels like it's been on for longer!) and have to say I'm getting slightly irritated with it.

I wish they'd stop all the slow mo bits of action and move things along just a tad quicker.

Will stick with it though cos I'm a stubborn git!

It's appalling! I don't like anybody in it. The acting is sluggish. The script is banal. They are using a caravan park, a cafe, a housing estate and a cliff top for all the locations here and a high street in Bristol as locations; boring.Three episodes? Is that all? Another five to go? Utter drivel

Don asked me last night what episode we were on and was most surprised when I said it was only the third.

I thought that it started off quite well, but it has begun to get a bit silly.

Last night was the worst episode so far. To me it has become less about the murder and more about the interactions between the characters. Prime Suspect did this to perfection whilst still concentrating on the main subject, this is just dragging things out.

I'm still enjoying it although still can't understand how they can drag it on for 8 episodes (is it 8 or 6 - too many either way).

I found the fact that the dad wouldn't tell the truth as to where he was ridiculous. And if it was obvious to me that he had been with the hotel woman then it should have been obvious to the police!

I still think the police womans son has a lot to do with it. I also think the psychic man has something to do with it - and probably something to do with Mr Moody's (aka David Tennant) last case which obviously went wrong.

I watched Prisoners Wives for the first time ever last week - it is fab.

I wonder if I can catch up on series 1 somewhere.

I agree that there's no comparision with Prisoners Wives - although I thought the child abuse plot-line in that show was a bit contrived.

Shame about Broadchurch, only Pauline Quirke is coming out of it with any kudos for acting. Introducing the psychic into the plot was a bit silly, and the burning boat at the end - well, we fell about laughing and said we'd seen all that in "Shetland" last week with Doug Henshal - now that drama wasn't that good, largely because the accents were difficult and it needed subtitles - but it was still better than Broadchurch is turning out to be .....

I watched Prisoners Wives for the first time ever last week - it is fab.

I wonder if I can catch up on series 1 somewhere.

Do try to catch up somewhere Debih. The first series was a stunner.
