I've got two sets of lights here and I don't know what to do with them
I've got warm white ones on the tree by the front door, both of these sets are coloured but I might see if I can put one set on that tree.

I amazed myself yesterday with my logic!

We have two sets of coloured lights for the tree and every year I assemble said tree and then put on the lights.

Yesterday it twigged I could do the ones on the bottom half first then tra-la-la put the top half on and ditto.

Why has it taken me thirty years to realise this?!

Ally, BIL has one of those two part trees, it looks ever so realistic. His tip since LED lights came to the fore......put a set of lights on each part of the tree then tie them on usig those plastic coated wire ties as used with freezer bags. When taking the tree down he leaves the lights in place and just folds up the branches as normal.

He is ever so lazy, mind.

You couldn't make it up.

I use the euro shop - as in everything is one euro, unless it's 2 for 50 cents, for wet wipes.

Went in today and they're obviously struggling as the shelves were practically bare.

Went to the Alentejana, supermarket, for ham, cheese wine and looked at the wet wipes.

Exactly the same :Hi: :Hi:

For 89 cents   :(

I do really enjoy putting the tree up every year but with the revelation of two part lights this year it was soooo much easier.

An extra surprise was Mr Robin....Don and I bought our first tree together in London 1989 from Argos near the Barbican (yes, really  ) and it came with various decorations (many of which we still have to this day) and a robin.

Now, robins being my favourite feathered friend, I fell in love with it and it has always taken pride of place on the tree. It was super cute and when you pressed its underbelly it tweeted.

Cue almost 3 decades of 3 boys ( and their mama) of pressing said underbelly, imagine our horror about 5 years ago when Mr Robin was rendered mute! :o

He still took pride of place on the tree...albeit a silent presence.

But wait...as I was decorating the tree Sunday just gone, hubster took Mr Robin to the hospital (man cave  ) found a heart transplant (new battery  ) and my wonderful little birdy can now tweet whenever someone cares to press his underbelly.

The twins are coming over Christmas Eve....they will laugh their socks off at all this.

(But love it too....)

Aren't family traditions lovely.... :D :D

I've been waiting for a Tracked parcel to be delivered by Royal Mail today, the tracker said it was out for delivery.
The post came at lunchtime but the parcel wasn't with it and the tracker's now changed saying it's being held at the delivery office at the recipient's (my!!) request! I haven't made any such request! :(
