What part of Bonfire NIGHT on November 5th is it that people don't understand? There are loads of fireworks again tonight

Bill had just about got over it by a Thursday, he'd been pacing and hiding as soon as it got dark every night up until then regardless of whether he'd heard any bangs, and then they started again last night. Tonight they started going off as soon as it got dark. It's not as if it was rainy last weekend meaning that people had to delay.
