I don't know how he's doing it

Grumpy is mixing concrete by hand and laying down the shower room floor.

It's 40C

Not sure I want to go to bed. The fire in Monchique is long way, but getting nearer.

I've offered bed, field, that's all I can do.

When we do our donation to the bombeiros, we'll also drop off water, socks, snack bars.

It's still in the 40's, so those poor blokes, women, must be sweltering

Grumpy has gone for a kip. This heat is doing him in, especially doing all the hard work he's doing.

Bu you can tell it's hot when we have the red wine in the fridge

Tomorrow will be an easier day.

He's done a lot of the bedroom tiles, quite pleased with the result :D :D I've bought the curtain pole, already have the curtains, thinking it's going to look rather good :D :D :D

To be quite honest Jo we're used to it. 35C earlier, with a stiff breeze and I said to Grumpy, berlimey, that's a cold wind

I used to think that 25C about right, but now its more 30C. But it is a different heat from what you have in England- I'd be rather unhappy with the temps ewe have ovr there.

Then again, you don' have massive eucy and pine forests on your door step, as we do.

We do Jan! We're right on the edge of Cannock Chase, and there's a large pine forest which starts just behind our close too :?

The fire service and forestry commission have been warning people about the danger of using disposable barbecues in these areas but the idiots are ignoring them and starting fires.
