Ginormous courgette

Postby JanB » 26 Jul 2018, 18:54

I have today, been given 3 massive cucumbers and three rather large courgettes, with one being almost marrow size.

Normally, I'd slice them thinly and fry in oil and garlic, but this is a meal in itself.

Ideas for me please, as well as cucumber soup. We really cant eat that many   The water content is a little too much for Gladys

Wouldn't have a clue on cucumber soup, something like gazpacho with lots of cucumber?
Or google, ditto the courgette, I think people with a glut make pickle.
Me, I'd politely say thank you, then chuck them out, too much faff and other ingredients :)

Courgettes, veg of the Devil.

Make them into Voodoo dolls of your least favourite neighbours (you know who) and stick pins in them, then burn them on a hot fire.

Whatever you do, do NOT eat them.

I've got couscous, yellow and red pepper. Will add onions, tomato, garlic, oil.

If it's nasty, we'll have pizza   And I'm not a pizza lover 8-)

Basically yes Kaz.

We went to Ourique to pay Heldar, then went to get the stuff for putting the tiles down :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Sadly, we got Mitched - and have only got back.

Not a hope of me doing all the stuff, so we're having pizza

And rather lush they were too

I haven't eaten a pizza for about 20 years, but bought these as a stop-gap, for when we're both jiggered with all the work.
