We actually get dozens of gulls gathering on what's supposedly the village green, they're either there or they all perch along the tops of the lampposts down on the main road.
Blooming nuisance they are! The problem is that any time someone suggests a cull (oiling eggs, or other humans methods) there are objections! I'm all for animal rights, but there are limits
They were a real pain in Bridport when I used to work there. They'd established a nest on a nearby house roof and harassed anybody and everybody using our office car-park …..
They still are a nuisance in Bridport! The bars and cafes at West Bay with outside beach eating areas are warning customers to be careful as the seagulls swoop and take the food off their plates of food. Well, we're a brewery town so we must have drunken seagulls all over the place. Might be hard to tell as most of the population are drunk too
