Good mid morning.

I was out at the crack of sparrows to avoid this insane heat.

It's just gone 11.30 and reading 41 degrees - with a heatwave forecast next week!

I've been laughing all morning:

We have 2 chaps round who are painting the outside of the house (in this heat!!!! ) but they do it all the time and it doesn't seem to affect them.

Anyway, Raul (obviously Spanish) and his working partner Jim (English) were having a coffee break earlier and I overheard their conversation.

Raul: how long 'av you liffed here Jim?

Jim: 12 years

Raul: And you no speaka Spanish?

Jim: Not much, no

Raul: Dat's bad, Jim. Very bad. (said with typical Spanish to the point ) How come you no learna da language?

Jim: Laziness really.

Raul: Good job your Eenglish team no lazy last night Jim!

E watched the football last night, thought he was going to have a heart attack he got so excited

Did lots of walking yesterday, mostly unaided, very pleased with myself. Trip to the hospital for second physio session later.
