If you missed this series put the kettle on and get yourself over to iPlayer.

It was the same format as the other Back in time fors ... but not at all 'shouty TV' and certainly no 'tin opener woman' in sight. :lol:

It was based in Bradford (Brat'f'd) but with a more regional 'up North' flavour, and the family were naturals. Sometimes it was so funny I was doubled over with laughter.

We've been watching it, on iPlayer, so will be watching the last one this Sunday

A much more down to earth family this time, I absolutely loved them!

There have been a few series Jo, with different families, but they were called Back In Time For Dinner

They've all been fascinating, from a social history POV 8-)

Jo, if you can get to see the first series you must. It is no longer on iPlayer but YouTube must have it.

It was the very best 'shouty TV' for ages, ask Di, and is where 'tin opener woman' was discovered. It could easily have been titled 'Britain's most inept family' as they were useless at anything practical. The first time mother, and daughters, tried the tin opener, the one with a point that you pierce the tin with and then levered it open, was hilarious. They never did get the hang of it. They were not much better with the 'butterfly' one that you clamp on and twist the wings. :roll:
