The fire is lit

Postby tonicha » 02 Dec 2012, 17:14

The wood arrived on time - ish (well, this is Portugal :D ) they chucked it down on the back patio, it then took Grumpy nearly 2 hours to get it inside - he wouldn't let me help, nor Joao. And the garage now smells of Christmas :D It's a gorgeous smell, piney, appley, wonderful 8-)

And it was a lovely hot sun, walking - slowly - down to the car boot. Sadly, the cheese lady wasn't there, but I had a scrummy coffee and cake and strolled back. Leg slightly swollen after all of that, but it was the furthest I've walked for nearly 6 months - and I didn't fall over, twist my ankle, nuffin

Now the fire is lit, dinner is cooking and the only problem is

darts on the tele

Grumpy used to play for Wiltshire and was a very good darts player, so every time the darts is on, he watches it - avidly  then tells me what the player should have done etc etc etc etc

Will you stop over-exercising for goodness sake, it's not good for your leg!

If you HAVE to watch Grumpy shifting wood - sit down with a snifter. ;)
