November in March

Postby Workingman » 07 Mar 2013, 19:03

That's what it feels like here.

I have put the heating on and am wearing a fleece.

I am going to thumb a lift to visit ALE and Ton... and then on to see Vic.

I have never thumbed a lift on a boat, so I might be away for some time. Stop clapping in the cheap seats.

It really is cold in Leeds.

I'd go to Ally first, WM.

It's wet and cold at 19C here

And then, when you visit Vic, you'd get blown over there

Actually, so am I

And the fire is lit - I just can't get near it, as Grumpy is hogging the fire

It's been cold all week here. I think it was Jo who said a while back that Hednesford has it's own sub-Arctic micro-climate and it was absolutely perishing when I visited there last Tuesday evening for the footie. The drive back to Birmingham was through dense patches of freezing fog, all down past Chasewater and Brownhills .... not pleasant.

WM, mind if I join you - just need to sort out someone to look after the cats though

Seriously though - I am really bored of this weather now; we had a nice few days but next week is expected to be really cold and the rest of the month not much betteer

I really really really could do with Spring coming along in all it's glory and staying on for a bit before making way for a lovely summer :)

Bring the tent Ria.

ALE does a good fry up, or so she says, but with her pair'o'nees who knows.... Ton can lift all sorts of bits 'n pieces from the local bodegas - when she can see them - so free grub thereabouts. And Vic knows his cheap wine, or so he says. ;)
