i cant go down an escolater im terrified of getting on one
feel so stupid when it happens
im ok with lifts
even the glass ones on the outside of the cn tower in toronto
cant walk on a glass floor either

It seems escalators are a common fear - not sure it counts as a phobia as to me it sees entirely rational
Ally poor Jacob LOL @ him wanting to take things to bits to see how they work though - my eldest was/is like that. He took his own cot bed apart when he was a toddler - I went in one morning to find him sat on the floor in the middle of the pieces, and his first Atari console had the same fate............
