Sunshine and 27 degrees forecast.

I'm off for a run then back for the final swim of the season.

I shall pootle happily till homework club 4.30 - 6.30 then meeting Don for Friday beers and tapas.

Our dear friends Gez & Sharon flew over for a weeks holiday yesterday. I got home from work last night to a lovely surprise of Don telling me he's booked us a night's hotel stay tomorrow night at their hotel in Marbella. So I can offically say I'm off to Marbs tomorrow.

Good morning Ally and all, it's still quite dark and still raining here.

I got up early to walk Billy as the forecast was a bit grim from 9am but it seems to have started early. Oh well, I'll keep an eye on it and there's plenty to do to occupy myself in the mean time.

John's cycling into work, that'll be his last time until Spring thankfully. I worry about him being on the roads and he does stop once the mornings and evenings are dark.

Enjoy Marbs, Ally! I expect that peak hen weekend has passed now that we're out of wedding season. It seems to be one of the places they go to, our neighbour had one of her three or four hen weekends there

Flu jab - arm hurts a bit, otherwise fine so far.

I have to go to the doctors to alter a blood test appointment
for Don as i was stupid and made his appointment for his
cataract check up on the same day at the same time!!!!

Jo and Lissie, it's rather blustery and wet and damp here as well and Storm Brian (Di, tell him to behave ) is meant to be hitting our part of the country tomorrow with quite strong winds

Dull, grey, damp and not very warm I am not complaining, we had some more rain last night. None is forecast for today, but looking at that sky...............

So that's the outside plans scuppered. Ground too wet for what I was planning, air to damp for what Grumpy was planning and Dimas wants more rain before he'll rotovate the veggie plot.

So I might just have to be a domestic goddess today

Food shopping with D this morning, need to stock up as Harry will be eating us out of house and home! I don't know where he puts it! When he comes to stay my trolley looks like one of those snack filled trolleys that I usually inwardly tut at! Ironing to do later, then a nice quiet evening hopefully

Good morning all. A reasonable pleasant morning, weak sun after yesterday's heavy rain, but it's a bit parky. All alone with a cup of coffee as Mrs O has gone out networking ....

Since a Smartcar winged ours in the supermarket carpark last year, I've been paranoid about choosing spots , and will drive past several empty bays if their neighbours have a car parked at an angle, or too close to the markings, or with wheels not aligned straight. As I did today before finding a suitable place next to a BMW which had just arrived, but had parked up OK (by my standards! ). The driver promptly got out of his car - and his door winged mine! Was I fuming! He did apologise profusely, in the light of my icy stare. Tried a bit of spit and polish, but the black mark didn't come out all that well .... will have to make a more concerted effort later.

Spent the rest of the shop fantasising about letting his tyres down ...

How annoying Ossie!

I took Billy for a quick walk on the Chase, there's a path off the village which doesn't get muddy so we went up there and back down again. I had a rant on the way back though.

Drivers and the 'optional' use of indicators.

The road through here is a pretty busy A road. The A34. To cross back to the estate we have to get over the road at a roundabout with crossing points for pedestrians. We were standing there, on a crossing point, for several minutes trying to cross. Could've gone several times but you wouldn't believe the number of people who didn't indicate at the roundabout. I was there pointing wildly at the indicators and one man actually stopped a little further down the road and waited until we'd got across.

I went along to him;

-Excuse me but your indicators don't seem to be working.
-Oh (and he actually started testing them )
-Well look at that! They work after all! Maybe you should try to remember to use them at roundabouts because like a lot of people I haven't perfected by the art of mind reading yet!!
-Yes. Okay love.

And with that me and Billy stomped off.

I really think I missed my calling, I should've joined the police.
