Oh blimey Kaz, just as the Debenhams sale is starting  Rotten timing there!
Seriously though, I hope you start to feel much better soon. Be very kind to yourself and get as much rest as you can ((((Kaz))))

Afternoon all, it's lovely and sunny here and quite mild. I've been to the gym and then Billy and I had a lovely long walk over the common, I think it was the nicest walk we've had in a long time thanks to the weather.
Not much else is planned for today, apart from some house work

Have a good day everyone!

Good afternoon, all.

Sorry I'm late but we had a hectic day yesterday, and we're only just getting over it.

About midday, one of the occupants on the second floor of our retirement lodge rang our door bell
and said there was water coming out of the ceiling in the passageway by her apartment. I went to see
and, sure enough, water was raining from above. Up to the third floor I ran, to find the passage way
water-logged. The water was coming, in copius quantities, from a locked, un-occupied apartment.

As there is no Lodge Manager here on Sundays, I rang the helpline and they said they would get a
plumber to come along. Realising that something needed to be done quickly, I gained entrance to the
apartment (I won't tell you how!) and turned off the main water stopcock. It was a good job I did, as it
was nearly two hours later before a plumber arrived. The leak had occurred because the main water pipe
into the water heater had popped out and a continuous flow of water was gushing out.

The apartments imediately below received their share of water, and you can imagine what fuss a panic-
stricken gaggle of OAPs can make. At the end of the day we were absolutely shattered, and our dog was
highly stressed, too.

A nice quiet day is being enjoyed today, thank heaven.

Hope you all had a better day than me.
Aggers
