Well, the Kransekake went down a treat last night.

It was easy to break into - you just pulled the top ring off and worked your way down.

We were all surprised by the texture of it. We thought it would be crispy like biscuits but it wasn't - it was still quite doughy. It was very much like marzipan, only lighter. I was worried that I had under cooked it (you only bake it for 10 minutes and are not supposed to let it go too brown) but when we tasted the rings that I had left in a little longer that had gone a darker brown we knew that it was right. The darker brown ones were pretty inedible (fortunately there wasn't many of those).

So it was a winner and I will be making it again!
