Help with printing

Postby Diflower » 17 Aug 2017, 11:37

Our old pc printed fine, black only or colour.
Since we got the new one, I can still print in black only, but if I do colour, whether images on plain paper or photos on photo paper, the background is pinky red and there are stripes down the picture.

I have googled and seen the problem but try as I might I can't understand the answers, or relate them to what I can find on our pc
Can anyone help please?

Lissie is right. That's a classic sign of blocked printheads.

When was the last time you printed in colour and what printer is it?

Thanks both of you.

It's an Epson dx 7450.
Not for a few months suff, probably our boarding passes, accidentally in colour, in May.

How to I clean whatever bits it is?

Di, here's the info on the Epson Site

There are other options beyond that, but try that first.

update

As you can see on ebay, there are cleaning solution cartridges but the caveat at the bottom about not guaranteeing to unblock it is important.
