It was one of those you could get really lost in wasn't it? You know sometimes you have to blink a bit when you come back to the real world :)

It definitely is Di. Did you know that getting lost in a book is a mild form of self-hypnosis? Hypnosis being a focus on one thought or idea to the exclusion of all else around us, to enter an altered state of mind? That's why we can get lost in it totally, and everything else around us just fade right out 8-) :D

Jo it's a wonderful book, you'll really enjoy it 8-)

I loved The Forgotten Garden too, I love books that centre around an old house.

I am reading Family Album by Penelope Lively. I picked it up in the book sale at the library yesterday for 5p.

I was reading The Return by Victoria Hislop until I realised I had read it before

A new writer for me and a good one. Gillian Flynn 'Gone Girl' and although only one third through it I'm at the what happens next stage. She's only written three books, she is American and I recommend reading the reviews and see what you think.

I have sent for The Secret of Crickley Hall by James Herbert to take away with me.
