Only in Spain! :lol:

Today, in our town, starts a 3 day 'Festival of Gastronomy.' :lol:

The council have arranged a 'Ruta de la Abuela' which translates as Grandma route. :lol:

What you do is go along to any participating bar or restaurant (about 20 of them!) and have a bottle of beer, glass of wine or a soda, along with a tapa, for 2 euro.

My theory on it being called the grandma route is..the first bar that is taking part is at the top of the hill in our town, the last bar being at the bottom. :lol:

Thus making it easy for grandma, as she's getting sozzled, to go downhill (literally!) to each bar. :lol:

Thank goodness one doesn't have to be a granny to join in the madness.

It starts at noon.

I may be gone some time. :lol:

I'd be ok going up the hill - walking to town here is all 'slopes' - but I'd be wobbly on the way down as I can't hold my booze these days as I don't get enough practice.
